Order Cards

FilmTrade is offering all films in the SIFF 2026 program either free or discounted cards, as well as the staffing to help sell them inside of SIFF’s screening venues during the festival!

  • All feature films can request 20 free cards (no purchase required). If you want more, you can also add more cards to your order, using our Order Portal.

  • All short films can request a 20% discount code that can be used during the Order Portal checkout process.

This is an opt-in offer, for any filmmakers who want to participate and earn extra revenue during the fest (and afterwards, if you choose). You may also enable digital-only rentals/sales via FilmTrade; as there is no official virtual component of SIFF this year, this could be a compelling alternative for audience members who can’t attend in-person or are not able to make the scheduled theatrical screening time(s).

Filmtrade offers multiple card options (including unlimited play or single play), industry-standard DRM, and other customizations (like “suggested action” links for audiences to leave a Letterboxd review or visit your personal site). This helps you maximize your impact while monetizing to the extent that you want. It is up to you to determine how you’d like to price, sell and manage the cards that you order.

    1. Create an account and request access to the Order Portal at orders.filmtrade.org

    2. Once you complete the access request, we will follow up to grant access for placing card orders, as well as instructions on providing your assets for your film’s corresponding page on FilmTrade.

      • Note: your page is your own; we do not have any advertising, and there is no marketing of other films to your viewers. There is also no public FilmTrade “catalog” to browse, and any public catalogs we may add in the future will require the filmmaker to opt-in at that time.

    3. Your cards will be available at the festival! You can:

      • Pick up your cards from FilmTrade (we will have a nearby offsite location for pickup, details TBA)

      • Have them available for sale at merch tables inside the screening venue (transactions handled by FilmTrade with subsequent payout to you)

      • Split your card order between the two options above

  • It’s up to you how you want to use your cards: sell them, give them away to audiences and industry connections, or some of both -- the choice is yours. If you’d like to sell your cards at the festival, we have additional support for you:

    • FilmTrade will have merch tables set up inside SIFF venues where we can sell your Filmtrade cards on your behalf. The proceeds of sales, less taxes and credit card / transfer processing fees, will be paid out to you by FilmTrade.

    • If you plan to manage the sales yourself, we can provide you with some easy-to-follow instructions to set up a Square account on your smartphone that will let you take credit cards and Tap-to-Pay with no accessory needed.

Request your cards as soon as possible – we will need to receive all required assets on or before Friday, April 17th to guarantee that your cards will be available at the festival! We will likely be able to fill most orders after that date in time for the event, but will need to confirm these on a case-by-case basis.
